i'm gonna be an aunt today!!!!
my brother just called me to tell me my sister-in-law's water broke!!!!!! i am so excited!!! as soon as my mom gets home we are going to head to the hospital, i think! please send your best wishes out for her to have an easy pregnancy and for the baby to be healthy!

not much to say...
just checking in, not much to say. i've been working and sleeping and that's about it. works been kind of insane because one of my cases is a huge pain in the butt and we are now moving it to litigation so it will get even crazier. but, i'm happy to say that the two training units (i'm in a training unit being as i just started) will be getting together to plan something really awesome for our kids... just a day for them to just enjoy themselves and be kids. i'm really excited for us and for this initiative and we're hoping to start it as a pilot program that may be able to expand. 
i FINALLY mailed all the packages today. except melissa lee and leah. i need both of you to email me your addresses to lucinaselima@gmail.com ... thanks :) i hope they all make their way there safely!
i forgot i do have something cool to share.... Nisa took some headshots for me while we were in Chicago and she sent me the proofs this week (unedited and whatnot!)... Aren't they AMAZING!??! I am having the hardest time picking my favorites. I'd love to hear what you think! (and ps: doesn't my hair look GOOD? LOL!!! i am in love with the Chi straightener now, thanks to Kristina)
This weekend I plan on going to Memory Lane PA because they are accepting 40% off coupons on Saturday and you KNOW i need another clip it up. after the trip, i plan on reorganizing. MAJORLY. my space is beginning to totally overwhelm me and has made it difficult for me to WANT to sit down and scrap. They're also doing a customer sidewalk sale in September so I'm hoping to weed out a lot of the older stuff (to make room for lots of the newer stuff!)

a picture is worth a thousand words.
it's hard to believe i left for CHA over a week ago. it's been a whirlwind week and because of that, i am SO far behind on life (remember the messy room photo i posted awhile back... yea, i think it's even worse now...) catching up is hard to do for me because i get home from work and all i wanna do is crash. i've been wanting to update the blog, but been so busy, so i decided to do it in photos with small captions. (and winners of the RAKs are at the bottom!) 
Met Kristina at her place before the airport. Got to meet Chloe (who I have to say is REALLY cute and I don't even like small dogs)... and of course, we had to hit up the bar at the airport. woohoo. (ps: please don't mind the blurry photo. i am so not good at keeping my hand steady). 
proof that we rode the subways - both above and below ground... yay for nice people that told us where to go, yay for the cute boy that K said was hitting on me , and yay for only spending $2 instead of the $80 cab fare i spent on the way back to the airport. 
we had to go right to the Scrap In Style reception from the airport because we were running so late... it was a lot of fun, though a little crazy. i had a hard time translating all these online faces into real life people, so i feel like i was probably rude to a lot of people at first. i was SO happy to finally meet the amazing and talented and super funny, Michelle... cannot WAIT for our get-together in September with some other fabu girls. 
LOVE LOVE LOVE the fashionistas. i had such a great time meeting and talking to them. you've gotta check out Kerry, Michelle, Ashley, Gigi, and Adrienne. LOVE these girls. 
Morgan and I make-and-taking it up at the Love, Elsie booth. What a friggin cute booth it was. Definitely won the award in my opinion for most creative booth. 
We really LOVE Elsie. Love her new stuff. and just adore her. she was the sweetest. but i have to say, i think she has some of the most insane "fans" 
We were digging the KI booth and the really cool backdrop. Just had to take a photo against it. 
I was so excited to finally meet Laura. She is one of the sweetest, most genuine people I know and I feel like I knew her way back when.... And she still calls me baby. I guess i will never get away from that! :) 
Allison and I... another I've been wanting to meet because we've emailed back and forth so often. I have to say, she is WAY cool and so is her family. Her mom and sister are the sweetest ever. 
And of course.... TONS of love going for the new Hambly... everytime i walked past the booth (i got lost a lot... lol), I just had to go close to the Hambly again. LOVE that stuff. 
the freaking AMAZING Celine. i was so glad to finally meet her and to spend awhile outside the hotel talking to her... she is HILARIOUS in person... she was cracking me up. 
i have to say... i was surprised that Tracey actually knew who i was... (actually i was surprised when anyone knew who i was)... but i was so glad to meet her... she's a sweetheart, too... and we had fun hanging in the Hambly booth. 
birthday night cocktails in the hotel room while watching law and order. YUM. 
and the 3 of us... late at night... right before i had to get up at 4:00am for my flight home. :(
there's no photos of my birthday because it was hell. i choose not to remember hell in photos ;) so instead, a layout.... and i know it's supposed to be good riddance, but heck, i did it through tears, and i don't sweat the small stuff ;)
but the next night, i took my little sister, her friend, and my friend Mike to the John Mayer/Ben Folds concert for my sister's graduation gift. It was a BLAST. Ben Folds kind've sucked -- bad playlist and too big of an arena but John Mayer really rocked the house... and the other guy who opened, James Morrison, was actually really good, too. I want to look up his music. Just a quick pic of Rissa and I before leaving for the show. 
We tried so hard to get a good photo of the three of us. It didn't really worked. Ended up with Mike looking high, me showing too much cleavage, and Marissa just looking plain scary.
One of my favorite photos of the night-- Marissa rocking out with one of her friends. I was so glad she had a good time. There's very little time left before she leaves for college and i'm going to miss her more than anything else.
so that's my photo summary of the week... minus my speeding ticket, my trip to MLPA, the Simpsons movie tonight, and some fun cases at work...
On to the birthday fun.... I want to thank you all again for the birthday wishes and for celebrating my birthday month with me... even though my birthday sucked, it was nice to have so many people here rooting for me to have a good day. also, very special thanks to Elise, Jocelynne, Adrienne, and Jenn for the sweetest birthday presents/cards. (i hope i didn't forget anybody... my memory sucks)... ALSO, a huge happy birthday today to Jenn! Hope your day was super sweet!
